We built both FlipFiles.io and FlipFiles Pro, and we want to be completely transparent about the difference — especially regarding privacy. The two sites have fundamentally different approaches to handling your files.
Every tool on FlipFiles.io runs in your browser using JavaScript. When you compress a PDF or resize an image, the processing happens on your own computer. Your file is never sent anywhere. We never see it. Nobody can intercept it. This is the most private possible approach — because there is nothing to intercept.
FlipFiles Pro uses a private server. Your file is transferred via HTTPS, processed by professional software (Camelot, Whisper, LibreOffice, FFmpeg, etc.), the result is returned to you, and both files are permanently deleted within 30 minutes. No backup. No storage. No human viewing your content.
Some tasks are impossible or poor quality in a browser. PDF table extraction, AI transcription, video stabilisation, HEIC conversion — these require server-side processing. We could not offer these tools on FlipFiles.io without compromising its core privacy promise. So we built a separate site with a separate promise: files upload, are processed by the best available tools, and are deleted. Completely transparent, clearly differentiated.
