Bulk Image Processing: Convert and Resize Hundreds of Images at Once

FlipFiles Pro ยท June 2026 ยท 8 min read

When you have 200 product images to convert from HEIC to JPG, or 500 photos to resize to a consistent 1200ร—800px for a website, doing them one at a time is not viable. Batch image processing converts and resizes any number of images in a single operation, returning all output files in a ZIP download.

Supported Batch Operations

Bulk Image Converter

Upload multiple images in any format (HEIC, RAW/CR2/NEF, WebP, AVIF, PNG, JPG, TIFF, BMP) and convert all of them to a single target format. Common use cases:

  • Converting all iPhone HEIC photos from a holiday to JPG for sharing
  • Converting a folder of PNG screenshots to JPG for a website gallery
  • Converting WebP images from a web download to JPG for editing
  • Converting RAW photos to JPG for client delivery

Bulk Image Resizer

Upload multiple images and resize all of them to the same target dimensions. Options include:

  • Exact dimensions (e.g., exactly 1200ร—628px for social media)
  • Width only with maintained aspect ratio (e.g., all images 1200px wide, height varies)
  • Longest dimension constraint (useful for thumbnails)

GIF Optimisation and Conversion

Animated GIFs are notorious for large file sizes. A 10-second animated GIF can be 20-50MB. FlipFiles Pro offers three GIF-related tools:

  • GIF Compressor โ€” Two-pass palette optimisation reduces file size by 40-60% while maintaining animation quality
  • GIF to MP4 โ€” Converts animated GIF to MP4 video, which is typically 80-95% smaller. MP4 is supported everywhere GIF is, and plays more smoothly
  • GIF to PNG Frames โ€” Extracts each frame as an individual PNG file for use in video editing or frame-by-frame animation work
๐Ÿ’ก GIF to MP4 recommendation: For any animated GIF over 1MB, converting to MP4 is almost always worth doing. The size reduction is dramatic and the visual quality is better. The only reason to keep GIF format is email clients that do not support MP4 (in which case GIF remains the only animated image format supported).
